Why is the Waxing Moon a Great Sign in the Sky (and Why My Dog Knows More Than I Do)
After I wrote about the Full Moon and business energy, a few people asked, “But what about the waxing moon?”
I left it out on purpose.
Sometimes I need to live inside a cycle before I write about it. To feel it in my body, not just think about it. To wander around a bit off with the fairies before I can actually make sense of it in words.
Right now, as I write this on October 26, 2025, the moon is a growing crescent in Sagittarius. In two weeks, it’ll be full in Taurus. And honestly? This is when my business brain switches on again after floating around in Full Moon dreamland.
Dog Wisdom: A Lesson in Natural Rhythms
The Full Moon stirs everything up – people, animals, even the air. My dog gets restless and whiny, pacing around like she’s forgotten where she lives. But as the moon wanes and then begins to grow again? She calms. Her whole system softens. She wanders the garden with purpose, sniffing things, tail relaxed, completely present. And maybe sometimes I’m thinking, she’s so chilled… is she ok ?
And if I’m honest, so do I.
I used to live closely with the moon’s rhythm – timing when to start projects, rest, or move forward. Then life happened and I drifted away. Lately, I’m coming back to it as a natural business compass. Watching the sky again. Noticing. Using these ancient guideposts to know when to be off with the fairies and when to be in business mode.
When that first crescent appears, I feel it, “Okay, we’re building again.” It’s my signal to take ACTION on what’s been brewing while I was wandering around pondering life for the last three weeks.
Using the Waxing Moon in Business
The waxing moon brings momentum – but not the rushed kind. It’s momentum from clarity, not chaos. It’s dog-in-the-garden momentum: purposeful, grounded, trusting.

This is when inspiration takes shape. When I move from vision to motion.
Make the call. Send the message. Start the project.
Actually do the thing instead of just thinking about the thing.
I don’t need it all figured out. I just need to START moving with the light that’s growing.
Nature Knows
When I watch my dog these days – curious, grounded, tail relaxed, completely in her flow – I think, this is what aligned growth looks like. No hurry. No drama. Just presence, movement, and trust.
That’s the momentum I want in my business. Steady. Honest. Natural. Consistent. A bit wild around the edges, but rooted.
